Last ordering/posting dates for Christmas 2015

We want to make sure your Christmas gifts arrive in time! Last order times for international delivery before Christmas are based on the Royal Mail's recommended last posting dates. Any queries, do call us in the shop in Brecon on 01874 623613.

Your order will need to reach us by 3 p.m. on the days listed below.

Once your parcel leaves us, how quickly it reaches you depends on the Royal Mail!

• Japan, Hong Kong, Eastern Europe, Cyprus - Monday 7th December
• Australia, New Zealand - Wednesday 9th December
• Germany, Italy, BFPOs (static) - Friday 11th December
• USA, Canada, Sweden, Finland - Monday 14th December
• Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Iceland - Tuesday 15th December
• Western Europe - Wednesday 16th December

 

• UK order deadline - 12 noon Monday 21st December

Royal Mail Special Delivery services for the UK are available for orders placed until 12 noon on Wednesday 23rd December. Please contact us by telephone on 01874 623613 before ordering if you need this service.

Orders placed after these deadlines will still be processed while the shop is open, but will not arrive until after Christmas.

Heavyweight seersucker tablecloths: round, square, and rectangular; in blue, green, and yellow check

Seersucker tablecloths have been one of our lines for a long time, but we're delighted to have top quality new stock from a new supplier.

These seersucker tablecloths are a good weight with a lovely finish, meaning they drape well and look great.

Viyella tattersall shirts in medium check and mini check

Viyella shirts in tattersall check are now in stock in 15 inch neck to 18 inch neck.

Tattersall check is a classic shirt pattern, and these Viyella cotton/wool blend shirts are very popular with my customers. They combine the comfort of merino wool with the crispness of cotton to produce a smart yet practical shirt. They work well both worn casually with a jumper and worn formally with a jacket and tie.

Our medium check Viyalla shirts are available in lovat check (colour 168), plum check (colour 216), and russet check (colour 114). We also have mini check Viyella shirts in plum (colour 216). 

Try matching a Viyella tattersall check shirt with a pair of Meyer cords - it's a great combination for autumn and winter wear.

Wolsey Cardinal calf length socks return

We are delighted that Wolsey have reintroduced Cardinal half hose socks (after discontinuing them in 2013).

Wolsey Cardinals are now in stock in mid grey and in rustic brown. We will also have black Cardinal socks in stock soon.

Cardinal socks are available in UK shoes sizes 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12.

Buy your traditional kitchen items from us on your way to the Brecon Beacons Food Festival

Our traditional kitchen items, including glass cloths, Jolly Molly oven gloves, waffle weave tea towels, roller towels, and linen dishcloths, are always popular with locals and visitors. This Saturday, 3rd October, we expect they'll be in demand, as it's the Brecon Beacons Food Festival in Brecon's Market Hall between 10am and 5pm.

Black Paisley braces in large sizes

We now have black Paisley pattern clip braces in stock, to add to our popular red Paisley and blue Paisley clip braces. The Paisley pattern is in white, green and yellow on the black background.

These black Paisley braces are available in XL and XXL, and are suitable for tall men up to approximately 6ft 7 inches.

Tweed 3-piece suit for South Wales businessman

A regular customer from South Wales has just collected his latest made to measure tweed suit. This is a three-piece suit in a striking blue check tweed, which he will be wearing on business trips to London. A particular feature is the velvet collar.

We have recently provided another customer with a brown tweed suit with a velvet collar.

Bracing ourselves for more orders from New Zealand and Australia!

We've been delighted to receive several orders recently from Australia and New Zealand. Extra strong braces are popular with our customers there, plus Grip Top knee length socks.

Some customers from New Zealand and Australia are travelling to the UK, and ask for delivery to the UK address where they are staying - for example with relations, or at a club or hotel. We are happy to arrange this. When you fill in the online order form, you can specify one address for billing and another address for delivery if that is what you would like.
